Some introduce children to music for the first time. Others bring remarkable performers to our communities, or create opportunities for musicians whose voices deserve to be heard.
Each of these organizations has given me a reason to believe in what they're building. Here is why I'm happy to support their work, and how you can too.
Music education · Westport and Orange
Suzuki Music Schools
A music school teaching children through the Suzuki method, with student recitals and family performances in Orange and Westport.
I appreciate how Suzuki introduces children to classical music in a welcoming, fun environment. Their performances and educational opportunities in Orange and Westport help make music an accessible part of family life. They've been wonderful to the community, and I'm happy to support what they're doing.

Kallos Chamber Music Series
A New Haven series presenting professional chamber musicians in intimate settings, including concerts during the week.
Kallos brings high-quality chamber music to Connecticut, including performances during the week. I appreciate the opportunities they create for people to experience exceptional live music close to home.
Representation in the arts · National
Sphinx Organization
A national nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through the power of diversity in the arts, supporting Black and Latino classical musicians.
In many ways, Sphinx represents what I hope CT Chamber Collective can become. Their dedication to creating opportunities and increasing representation in classical music is inspiring. They've also shown genuine kindness to me and my family, which makes supporting their work especially meaningful.
Music education · Stamford
INTEMPO
A Stamford nonprofit that uses music education to support immigrant and underrepresented children and families across Fairfield County.
As the father of an Afro-Latina daughter, I deeply appreciate INTEMPO's celebration of different cultures through music. Their welcoming, family-friendly performances and commitment to Connecticut communities reflect the kind of musical environment I want my daughter to grow up experiencing.
Chamber music · New Canaan
New Canaan Chamber Music
A Fairfield County chamber music organization presenting concerts, including programs made for young children and families.
I was impressed by how warmly the musicians shared their passion for classical music, especially with young children. Meeting Armstrong and seeing how approachable he made the music reinforced my belief that classical music can be meaningful at any age.
Orchestra · New Haven
New Haven Symphony Orchestra
One of the oldest symphony orchestras in the United States, performing orchestral and choral concerts across greater New Haven.
I've loved the variety of performances the New Haven Symphony has brought to the community in 2025 and 2026. Their willingness to bring together musical traditions from Africa, Europe, Asia, and beyond shows how classical music can connect people across cultures.
Conservatory · New Haven
Yale School of Music
One of the world's leading conservatories, presenting hundreds of concerts a year, many of them free and open to the public.
My connection to Yale School of Music began through cellist Yeji Yoo, a Yale School of Music alumna, who introduced me to its musical community. Since then, I've had opportunities to connect with performers and experience firsthand the dedication behind their work. My contributions may be modest, but I'm grateful to give what I can to a community that has given me so much.
Oneppo Chamber Music Series
I appreciate how Yale makes exceptional chamber music available at accessible prices. These performances bring people together, introduce audiences to different musical traditions, and create opportunities to experience world-class musicians in our own community.

The School of Music's Annual Fund supports its students, its performances, and its musical life throughout the year.
Music in Schools Initiative
The Music in Schools Initiative brings music education and live performance to New Haven public school students.
Classical guitar · Brooklyn, New York
Brooklyn Classical Guitar Society
A Brooklyn nonprofit presenting international classical guitarists and building community around the instrument.
I appreciate how Brooklyn Classical Guitar Society brings international guitarists to the East Coast and connects audiences with performers they might not otherwise discover. They've also been welcoming and responsive in my own efforts to connect with the classical guitar community.
Guitar and mandolin festival · Rhode Island
University of Rhode Island Guitar and Mandolin Festival
An annual University of Rhode Island festival bringing international guitarists and mandolinists together for concerts, competitions, and education.
I appreciate how the festival brings outstanding international musicians to Rhode Island while creating opportunities for young artists to learn, compete, and perform. Their commitment to education, community performances, and bringing musicians together is exactly the kind of work I'm happy to support.
